Kadine Cabey has a Master’s degree in Integrative Medicine Research (MSiMR) from the National University of Natural Medicine (NUNM) Portland, Oregon, USA. She was a research assistant at the NIH funded Botanical Dietary Supplements Research Center at Oregon Health and Science University (OHSU) studying Botanicals Enhancing Neurological and Functional Resilience in Aging (BENFRA). While at BENFRA she served as a research assistant working on research investigating the use of the herbs Withania somnifera (ashwagandha) and Centella asiatica (Gotu Kola) to treat age-associated changes in cognition and sleep.
Kadine has an interest in preserving the traditional medicine of her native island Montserrat. She also hopes to continue research into traditional medicine treatments for diabetes mellitus, hypertension and chronic pain.
